Transactions

Managing financial transactions in the Business Network.

Transactions Overview

The Transactions feature allows you to track all financial activities within your business network. This section explains how to view, manage, and report on transactions.

Transaction Types

The system records various types of transactions:

  • Membership Payments: Payments for new or renewed memberships
  • Meeting Fees: Payments for attending meetings
  • Guest Fees: Payments from guests attending meetings
  • Other Payments: Miscellaneous financial transactions

Viewing Transactions

Transaction List

  1. Navigate to the Transactions section from the sidebar
  2. View the list of all transactions
  3. Use filters to narrow down the results:
    • Date Range
    • Transaction Type
    • Bank
    • Status

Transaction Details

To view a transaction's details, click on its ID in the transactions list. The transaction page shows:

  • Transaction information
  • Amount
  • Payment method
  • Bank details
  • Status
  • Related information (member, meeting, guest, etc.)

Recording Transactions

Transactions are typically created automatically when:

  • Assigning or renewing memberships
  • Recording meeting fee payments
  • Processing guest payments

Manual Transaction Entry

  1. Navigate to the Transactions section
  2. Click the "Create Transaction" button
  3. Fill in the transaction details:
    • Type
    • Amount
    • Select Bank
    • Payment Method
    • Reference
    • Status
    • Select City
    • Select Team (if applicable)
  4. Click "Create" to record the transaction

Transaction Status Management

Transactions can have different statuses:

  • Paid: The payment has been received and processed
  • Pending: The payment is awaiting processing
  • Refunded: The payment has been returned

Processing Refunds

  1. Navigate to the transaction details page
  2. Click the "Process Refund" button
  3. Enter refund details and reason
  4. Click "Refund" to process the refund

Important: Once a transaction is marked as refunded, it cannot be reversed.

Transaction Reports

The system provides several financial reports:

  • Revenue by time period
  • Revenue by transaction type
  • Revenue by bank
  • Revenue by city or team

Generating Reports

  1. Navigate to the Transactions section
  2. Click the "Reports" button
  3. Select the report type
  4. Set the parameters (date range, filters, etc.)
  5. Click "Generate" to create the report
  6. Export the report to CSV or PDF if needed
